Overall, these connectors are easy to use and make a clean electrical connection. Slip on, hold in place while using a heat gun – a few seconds to cool and it’s complete. The only negative is the same as using the solder gun – you often need more than two hands to keep everything in place during the heating.

I discovered this particular product after having purchased similar products from different companies.Upon receiving the shipment, I immediately put it to the test. I soldered some wire that I did not want to be bulky at the connection point and it came out great. These particular connectors seem thicker than others I’ve purchased before which is a good thing because I’ve had connectors of the same type fall apart shortly after having heated them up.Overall, I’m pleased with the connectors and will order more when I run out!

I had a small sample of these Solder Seals and liked the way they worked so I bought a larger supply here. These are so easy to use. Pull one wire through Solder Seal and then connect to other wire, pull back halfway through Seal to you are in center. Apply heat with heat gun and solder melts onto the wire and the ends also seal, making a secure waterproof connection. I have not had any of these fail. Quick shipper as well

I had to bend back my 18ga wire over itself to fill up the opening so the wire held tighter prior to heating. Other than that they worked perfectly using a heat gun to shrink them.

Great Product

I guess all of these sleeves have one side smaller diameter than the other, which sucks with a heavier jacket wire. I did notice these take a bit more heat to get the solder to flow but they still work great. This is about the best deal on Amazon for these.

I’m rewiring a large Z gauge layout and these are great to replace those darn little Marklin plugs. Easy to use and you get a great permanent connection.

I use these quite a bit, this was a refill I needed for a kit I have. I really like how easy they are to use. I’ve used this on tons of automotive applications.

Strip the wires, insert, hold in position while you use a heat gun to warm the splice. the splice and your fingers will reach melting temperature, and bob’s your uncle….so to speak. I made a jig, see photo, from two alligator clips and some heavy wire soldered in between, to hold the wires immobile. Solved the problem and my fingers will heal pretty soon.

I don’t know how I went without these for all these years. They work great
Eric Burgin –
Worked great definitely better than forgetting to put the heatshrink on before soldering the wires together

these things are so much better that using those plastic connectors that you fold over onto a little metal tooth then snap closed, but they do take a little getting used to so that you dont over heat them and melt a hole in the side, so dont be a Dave, ok,
